This twin engine steam launch

The starting point for this build was the simple hull detailed here.

To allow room for the boiler assembly the middle bulkhead had to be removed.

A superstructure was added to the hull made from 6mm modelling plywood. The shape was simple with a raked back windscreen and a tapered rear section.

It was secured to the hull with 2 screws. Inside the cabin a hole was cut in the deck for the boiler and engine assembly.

The hull was painted using enamel paint in a two-tone scheme. A silver line was stuck on and then a clear lacquer was used to coat both the inside and outside to make the hull waterproof.

The upper part of the boat was also painted in metallic Blue with a silver speed stripe.

At the back of the boat were the twin propellers and twin rudders.
